Definition of Islam in the language:

The subject of the derivation of the word (Islam) is: Sein, Lam, and Meem. The linguist Ibn Faris says in the article: “Salem: Sein, Lam, and Meem, most of its chapter is health and wellness. As for using it as imperative, its meaning is: submission and entering into peace, i.e. surrendering, just as morning is entering in the morning, and Ihram is entering into sanctity, and the meaning of Islam is inevitable. with his reins.

Characteristics of Islam:

Islam has general characteristics that distinguish it from others:
  • Godly: Islam is characterized as divine in two respects; Divine in purpose and destination.   • Comprehensiveness: Islam is a comprehensive religion for all aspects of life, its fields and aspects, and includes the life of the individual, the family and the community, at every time and place.
  • Moderation and balance: Islam is a balanced religion, free from excess and negligence, based on giving everyone his right.
  • Realism: Islam, with its directives and legislation, takes into account the reality of the universe and life, and takes into account the reality of man in all his circumstances, and Islam is realistic in the acts of worship required of those who are accountable, realistic in beliefs.
  • Clarity: Islam is characterized by the clarity of the principles and rules on which it is based, the clarity of morals and the clarity of devotional rituals.
  • Combining development and stability: Islam is firm in its goals and objectives, flexible in its means and methods, firm in its origins and faculties, flexible in its branches and parts, firm in its religious and moral values, and flexible in worldly and scientific affairs.
